Although the Cariari golf course, near
San Jose, is
considered the finest golfing facility in Central America, Garra de Leon
will someday be awarded that honor. Carved into the
sloping hillsides of this tropical dry forest, this golf course uses the natural
environment to its
advantage. Garra de Leon is definitely a course you
can't wait to play again, again and again.

Many of its perfect
rolling greens are tucked into the edges of the surrounding jungle
giving the feel that a round at Garra de Leon is a real adventure. No
doubt it will become a golf adventure well worth your remembering for many years to
come. Costa Rica is truly honored and proud to have this excellent
golf course within its frontiers.

Majestic
trees, native to Costa Rica, are scattered throughout the golf
course adding to its natural beauty. Designing this
course, Robert Trent Jones ll managed to spotlight these trees as
guardians for uniquely laid out greens, shade for certain
tee boxes and marking the edges of the generally wide and
inviting fairways.
